If you love the ocean, this painting offers one of it's gentler moods with the counterpoint of the pale pink sky with the gorgeous aquas of the water below it. It is just on sunset, very late in the afternoon when there is the slightest hint of colour change in the sky.

The foreground Pohutakawa tree offers rich browns against the darker teals, on the lefthand side of the work.

I also love the faintest hint of the island far out at sea, almost entirely hidden by the clouds. This of course sparks my interest in mystery and hidden things.
