As 2024 unfolds, I’m thrilled to share my latest artistic endeavours that celebrate my past while embracing new horizons. This year has been remarkable, marked by significant projects and a transformational shift in my painting style. From my latest creation, "Sacred Currents," a stunning whale shark painting, to an innovative abstract commission, there’s so much to explore, including my achievements in the art community with several awards. Embracing Change in My Art
Throughout my artistic career, I have firmly believed in the power of evolution as an artist. This year, I consciously embraced a change in my painting style. While I have always appreciated realism, I realized it was time to push the limits of my creativity. This transformation has allowed me to explore new techniques, vibrant colours, and the imaginative forms that reflect my artistic vision.
These changes have evolved into an art practice which is founded on the quantum energy of the Krystal Spiral. This construct is the quantum skeleton underlying all of nature. If you would like to know more about it CLICK HERE
The purpose for doing this is to raise the paintings to a higher vibrational level. My work now has a blend of both abstraction and realism - as I explore the world of Quantum Spiralism.
The other thing that has evolved out of my work this year has been my desire to help highlight the plight of many of our endangered species in the world. It pains my heart that so many Beautiful Creatures have disappeared from our planet forever. So I hope that my work will in some way touch other people's hearts and encourage them to try to save some of the beautiful species that we still have left.
Transitioning to a more abstract style came with its challenges, but the excitement of experimentation has been rewarding. For instance, I’ve introduced techniques using impasto, thick paint to create texture with silicon tools that scrape the paint in patterns. You can see this effect in the painting below - my latest work - a commission - 'Heart's Journey'. Abstraction allowed me to explore a range of concepts that realism sometimes holds back.
These techniques were used in my early abstract paintings and I have now transitioned to include using acrylics, acrylic spray paints, acrylic inks, alcohol inks, stencil's and subtle oil glazing in the works.
Collaborating on an Abstract Commission
In addition to "Sacred Currents," I had the opportunity to work on an abstract commission that showcased my evolving style. The piece was commissioned by a private collector who envisioned a dynamic representation of emotion through colour and texture. This is her piece and I am happy to say she is delighted with it.
My Latest Masterpiece: Sacred Currents
A highlight of my career this year is undoubtedly the creation of "Sacred Currents." This whale shark painting is a significant piece that speaks to my deep connection with the ocean and its majestic creatures. Whale sharks, known for their gentle nature and enormous size, embody grace and tranquillity, making them a perfect subject for my new artistic direction.
In "Sacred Currents," I aimed to capture the serene elegance of whale sharks gliding through the mysteriously beautiful world of the oceans depths. The colours reflect light filtering through water, creating an other worldly environment that feels both peaceful and magical.
The painting portrays the Whale Shark in the vast, azure realm of "Sacred Currents," as it glides like a celestial voyager. It's spotted skin is a living mandala that whispers of infinite connections.
Each gentle movement is a breath of the deep that resonates with the rhythm of the ocean's heart. This cosmic pilgrim drifts through liquid space, embodying a profound harmony with mother nature—not as a conqueror, but as a reverent traveller. Its massive form moves with an ethereal grace, a radiant being that carries the wisdom of ancient waters, bridging the seen and unseen worlds. The whale shark becomes more than a creature; it is a living testament to the delicate, interconnected web of life, a breathing meditation on the silent, powerful language of the natural world.
Data from recent studies indicate that whale shark populations are facing threats, making awareness crucial. By showcasing this magnificent creature, I hope to resonate with art lovers and collectors who appreciate the delicate balance of nature.
A Journey of Recognition: Art Awards
This year has brought me an unprecedented amount of recognition that I am very proud to share. I have received several awards including the Certificate of Artistic Achievement from the Pinacothèque Museum in the Luxembourg art prize. - One of the oldest and most prestigious art competitions in Europe. These accolades affirm my dedication to my craft and provide motivation to continue pushing my artistic boundaries.

Looking ahead, I feel excitement for what the future holds. I plan to continue experimenting with abstract styles while intertwining elements of realism in new and memorable ways. Additionally, I’m exploring various mediums, such as mixed media and using digital art as a tool in my art practice.
As I embark on this new chapter, I look forward to sharing my journey with fellow artists and collectors. There is so much to learn together, and I intend to inspire others to embrace change in their own creative practices.
